Moldova Champion Sheriff has won for the second time in its history the CSI Cup title. The team from Tiraspol has rolled in the final over Aktobe with the score of 5-4, after the penalty kicks. Both the regular and the additional time have ended indecisively, score 1-1. The champion's goal was scored by the international footballer Alexandru Suvorov, who transformed a penalty.
The penalty kicks from Sheriff were carried off by Bulat, Volkov, Mamah, Tarhnisvili and Ruamba.
Aktobe couldn't revenge in front of Sheriff for their supremacy in the Champion's League in the summer of 2008.
Sheriff repeated in this way their brilliant achievement from 2003, when it defeated Sconto Riga in the final. In 2000 Zimbru gave up in the final in front of Spartak Moscow.
