Moldovan weightlifter Iurie Dudoglo (62 kg) placed 7th at the World U-20 Weightlifting Championship that is held in la Penang, Malaysia, according to moldpres.md.
The athlete lifted 272 kg (122kg in snatch and 150 kg in clean and jerk).
Chen Mao (China, 301 kg) became the champion. Muhamad Hasbi (India, 287 kg) took the second spot while Daniyar Ismaylov (Turkmenistan, 286 kg) seized the third spot. The 62-kg event brought together 24 competitors.
Another Moldovan athlete, Artiom Pipa (69 kg), who won medals at the European and World Cadet Championships will compete soon. The competitions are held from June 30 from July 7.
The national team is accompanied by National Weightlifting Federation president Tudor Casapu and coaches Gheorghe Guţu and Sergiu Creţu.
