Wrestling tournament organized by Ghenadie Tulbea

International sports master, two-time European champion and World Championship runner-up Ghenadie Tulbea organized a freestyle wrestling tournament.

 It was held at his home village Talmaz, Ştefan-Vodă Region.

 Over 140 young wrestlers from 14 cities and regions of the country came to the competitions.

 Ghenadie Tulbea, two-time European champion:

"I am sincerely glad that the first tournament brought together athletes and coaches from all over Moldova and practically all the village gathered at our local recreation centre. This proves that freestyle wrestling is very popular in our village, and that is the key to future achievements". 

 Ghenadie Tulbea's first coach, Efim Vremere, brought with him the largest team. The hosts took first place in seven weight categories out of the thirteen included in the competitions program.

 Maxim Perpeliţa became a champion in the 60 kg category. Little Dan Munteanu (the 30 kg category) and Dumitru Tulbea also landed a high score.  The nephew of the two-time European champions took the top spot in the 55 kg weight category.
