Moldavian female sambo fighters left without prizes

Moldavian females sambo fighters who participated in this year's National Championship were left without prizes. According to jurnaltv.md, the organizers of the competitions and the Ministry of Youth and Sports gave preference to the male sex.

Anna Bulat won the World Sambo Championship and took siver at the European Sambo Championship last year. She will probably win gold at this tournament too, but it will be to no use.

The female participants of the competitions say that each one of them paid 50 lei to take part in the tournament, as much as male fighters did.

The representatives of the  Sambo Federation shrug their shoulders in response to questions, saying that the decision to give money prizes just to men was made by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. However, the Ministry of Youth and Sports refused to comment on this situation.
