A new pool - old troubles!

Oened again after it was damaged for more than 10 years, the pool on the territory of the former sports complex Locomotiv, has not solved the main problem. Moldova, already for 12 years has not a modern 50 meters pool, which would meet all the international requirements.

Rebuilding of the main pool with an area exceeding 2 ha needed over 4 million lei. The state officials, present at the opening ceremony praised the reopening of the recreational area. The business is quite profitable. People from Chişinău, eager to find sun and rest, will pay an amount of 50 lei per day. And those two pools of 50 meters, which no longer work since 1998, were carefully hidden from the eyes of the world by huge buildings.

Ministry of Youth and Sport needs another 3 million lei for the rebuolding of these two pools, but does not name exact terms.
