The Moldavian rowers has started up the season in Ghidighici

After a break of five years, the rowing tournament "Alexander Zagumionov Memorial" was again included in the sportsmen' schedule. The competition was attended by sportsmen from Chișinău, Tiraspol, Dubăsari, Orhei and Bender.

As it was recommended by the Republican Rowing Federation, the paticipants have competed on the distance of 2000 meters. The individual start was given at an interval of one minute and within five hours of racing the best time was shown by Vasile Chirilă at canoe and Guna Emineis at cayac contests, both from the Sports School Chişinău.

Attending the final race, the President of the Cayac-Canoe Federation of Moldova, Iacov Buhnă pointed out that the current tournament was the first to start the 2010 season.
