Over 300 athletes at the first National Athletics Championship

The National Athletics Championship which began today in Chişinău, gathered a record number of participants, over 300. All the best athletes of Moldovan were present at the starting line. They are expected to show good results, especially before the important competitions on the international arena.

The first winner is already known. Ana Berghi became the champion of Moldova in the women's 400 meters final. Her time is 1 minute, one second and one hundredth of a second.

Ana Berghi alongside with Ion Luchianov, Olga Cristea and Zalina Marghiev are the hope of our country on the international competitions in June and July. On 19th and 20th of June, in Belgrade, will take place the European Championships and at the end of July in Barcelona will be held the World Athletics Championship.
