The greatest row ever in the National Basketball Championship

The arbitration in the National Moldova's Basketball Championship was repeatedly criticized by the coaches. The double National Champion, Gama Cahul was more courageous and did not hesitate to openly protest against the actions of the referees. The third match for the supreme title, which could be decisive for Gama after two wins at home in front of ASEM, was joined by the greatest scandal ever for the Moldavian basketball. 45 seconds until the final whistle, the squad from Cahul left the playing field, at the score of 79-89 for ASEM. 

Gama turns back on the field but loses the match anyway. The finalist will be found out in the decisive game in Cahul.

During the championship, Sergiu Melnic has criticised the arbitration for several times. Outrageous was the last game of the play-off series versus ASEM. The game was stopped several times because of Melnic.

ASEM coach is also disatisfied by the arbitration in the National Basketball championship.

The final matches of the National Basketball Championships are arditrated by three referees. All of them have an international-class license.
