Alexandru Pliuşchin is again victorious

Last weekend the Moldavian cyclistAlexandru Pliuşchin, the multiple medalist of the European championship, participated in theprofessional three-days race "Three days Eigel" in Switzerland.

Traditionally, this competition brings together the best European riders, some of them beingthe world champions, winnersof the World Cup and even Olympic champions.

Alexandru Pliuşchin hasalready participated in thisrace,several times steppedon the podium of this prestigious competition, but has never won it.

This year Alexandru Pliuşchinstarted the contest in pair withthe Olympic and World champion in 2007,Franco Marvulli.The "Three days Eigel" was attended by 13 pairs of racers, among them beingrepresentatives ofMoldova,Switzerland, France, Germany, Holland and Poland.

The heroic efforts ofAlexandru Pliuşchin and Franco Marvulli managed to repulse all the opponents' attempts to overcame themand atthe end of thesixth round,the Moldovan and the Swiss racer were able to celebrate theirvictory.

In the race "Three days Eigel" participatedanother Moldavian sportsman, Victor Mironov.He did not perform in themain race, but in thesprint disciplines.The sprint race was attended by riders from Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France and, of course, Moldova.

Victor Mironov took the 6th place,establishinga new record forMoldova, with the result of1.08,333.
