Dacia win this season's second trophy

FC Dacia Chişinău became the top team again. After capturing the first national title in the club's history, the Yellow Wolves added another trophy to their collection - the Super Cup. Dacia claimed a narrow win over Moldova Cup holders, FC Iskra-Stal Rîbniţa, in the Super Cup match.

Igor Dobrovolsky, Dacia head coach:

"I am glad that we won and seized a new trophy. This is an important factor. We were preparing for the game very seriously and not carelessly like everyone said".

The only goal of the match was scored by Dacia newcomer Vitali Pavlov. Both sides created a few other chances but Oleksandar Suchu and Ghenadie Orbu wasted their opportunities.

Iurie Blonari, Iskra-Stal head coach:

"We made many mistakes in the first half and conceded a quick goal. We played much better after half-time. Both sides had chances but everything went as it went".

Dacia became the second team to won the Moldova Super Cup after Sheriff. The Tiraspol side has four Super Cups under its belt.

The only trophy that the Dacians did not manage to seize in four finals is the Moldova Cup.
