Over six months ago, Igor Negrescu retired as a player and began the coaching career. Having gained a little experience as Ion Tabanov's assistant at Zimbru, Igor decided to try himself in the position of the Dacia - Buiucani head coach.
Negrescu said in one of his interviews: "I had very good times with Dacia. I had everything, both wins and losses. I thank God that I had the chance to play for this team".
It is time to repay debts...
- I accepted the offer to become FC Dacia-2's head coach as soon as I received it. First of all, it is a big step in my coaching career. I need practice now that's why I did not have any second thoughts. Coaching without experience is impossible. I need it like air. And, besides, I got the chance to return to the team for which I played back when I was a footballer.
- Who will assist you to raise the young generation for the first team?
- My assistants will be Andrei martin and Ion Mandrîcenco. I have known Martin for a long time, we played for Dacia together and had a perfect understanding on the football field. I think that we will work well together. As for Mandrîcenco, he has been with the team for a long time, he knows its strengths and weaknesses. Mandrîcenco is also an experienced expert and we need such people on the team. I hope that we will manage to combine youth and experience to raise good footballers.
