The National Handball Team is the leader of the Challenge Trophy torunament

Moldova squad was victorious in the first match of the Handball tournament "Challenge Trophy", held in Chişinău. In the first round of the competition the Moldavian handball players defeated Armenia - 46:15.

In the other match of the day Georgia rolled over Azerbaijan - 41:23.

Today, Moldova's national team will face Azerbaijan, and Georgia - Armenia.

In the final match of the tournament Moldova will play with Georgia, and Armenia versus Azerbaijan.

The winner of the tournament "Challenge Trophy" will face the winner of a similar event, which on these days takes place in Malta. 

The final match will be held on January 23, 2010 in the Austrian city of Linz.
