Rugby players from Bluemarin Chișinău defaeted the English squad Kingsbridge

The first official meeting between the Moldavian and English rugby players was hosted on April 7th in Drăsliceni. In the first international match of the tournament, held in the memory of Ion Hîncu, the English club Kingsbridge, founded 122 years ago gave up with the score of 6-0 in front of Bluemarin Chișinău, the team with a history of 5 years.

The Englishmen, who are the rugby founders, have accepted for the first time the invitation of the Moldova Rugby Federation to take part in such a tournament. But their debut was less spectacular. Their experience was not enough in front of the enthusiasm of the young people from Chișinău.

The performance of the Moldavian players has pleasantly surprised the British representatives, who  admitted that were shocked to learn that in Moldova poeple do practice this sport. The curiosity brought them to Moldova, a journey that lasted 22 hours.

In the other match of the day, another Moldavian team, joined by the players of the ASEM club and the Sports School from Chișinău was better than the club Traian Vuia, the Romanian representative.

While the guests will fight for the 3rd and 4th places, the final belongs to the Moldavian representatives.
