The main sports news of the day - July 9

Dacia and Olimpia qualified for the second round of Europa League. Olimpia rolled over Khazar from Azerbaijan and Dacia defeated Zeta from Montenegro.

Dacia dominated the match, and in the 28th minute Victor Bulat was sent off the field. The yellow wolves suffered, especially in the second half. Zeta was looking for the qualifying goal, but every time was stopped by the man of the match, goalkeeper Matiughin. Dacia managed a draw, 0-0 and qualified into the 2nd round.

Olimpia followed the same way as Dacia and reached the second round of Europa League. The failure in the match with Olimpian, was unexpected for the coach of Khazar, Agasalim Mirdjavadov, who left the squad immediately after the match of the squad feom Azerbaijan with the Moldavian one. The reason for that was the two draws in the matches versus Olimpia and the fact that Khazar did not reach the second qualifying round of Europa League.

The coach Nicolae Bunea said that Khazar is a strong team, but Olimpia is better.

In this round will also oerform Iskra-Stal.

The former International palyers Sosnovschi, Osipenco and Cucovei, took up the challenge offered by the Viitorul team. They played a friendly match with the newcomer in the National Division FC Costuleni, score 1-1.

The team is led by the former Dacia director, Dragoş Hîncu. He appointed Vladimir Gosperschi as the head coach. Gosperschi replaced Igor Oprea and went to Academia. Viitorul was on the 8th place last season. The new season will begin on July 25.
