Four Moldavians and two Ukrainian fought for the title and the Cups at the Professional Taekwondo League finals, and for the 1000 $ prize. The competition was organized by the National Federation of Professional Taekwon-do of the Republic of Moldova (ITF).
The preliminaries decided that at the opening match, within the weight category of 63 kg met the 2 representatives of the club Warhammer Bălţi, two colleagues and two friends. The Vice-champion of the CIS countries in Muay Thai and the multiple National Champion in kickboxing, Aurel Berejeanu faced the champion of Turkey and Moldova in kickboxing, Maxim Railean. After a battle that lasted for 20 minutes, the success proved to be on Berejeanu's side, who also started up successfully in such competitions.
Satisfied with the performance, Aurel, believes that only success helped him to be better than his friend.
Maxim, which got just silver this time, does not feel outdated.
Unfortunately, the other fights in the category of 80 kg and 80 + kg the guests from Ukraine were better than our sportsmen. The European champion in taekwondo, Artiom Grişco gave up after a knock down in front of Igor Maximenco, the owner of the Europe Taekwondo Cup. For Maximenco the victory's taste turned out to be so sweet, that he does not know yet how they will manage the award.
The last fight was really dramatic. The Moldavian Nicolae Botnaru started as a favorite, and even looked much better in the first half than his opponent, the Ukrainian Artiom Vasilenco, the world champion in kickboxing Waco. But he got exhausted. Again only silver Moldova.
The ITF Taekwondo Federation President, Sergiu Sloninov, has indicated the weak points of our wrestlers.
