Maxim Dubarenco and Iulia Helbet became the best Moldavian Tennis Players

Between the 1^st and 4^th of October, the tennis fields from the Zimbru sportive complex hosted the national Tennis Championship. The competition comprised 5 age categories, the senior one included.

The surprise was brought by the Men's competition, where the 16 years old Maxim Dubarenco, became the National Champion. In the tournament's final, Dubarenco was better than the before Moldavian Nr. 1 Radu Albot. The winner was decided in the last set, at the tie-break.

Maxim Dubarenco became the youngest Moldavian Champion ever.

"I had a dream - to win the competition. I worked a lot for that. I considered Radu the favorite, an idol of mine. I proved the best tennis and I am happy for that", declared for TV 7 the young champion.

The Women's competition brought a surprise as well. The champion became Iulia Helbet, the 7^th positioned sportswoman in Moldova. Being 21 years old, she was the eldest among the participants.

The championship comprised the following age categories as well: till 8, 10, 12 and 14 years) between both boys and girls.
