The management of the Moldavian Sport about the Olympics in Vancouver

The Moldavian National Team at the Olzmpics in Vancouver proved a more than successful. Thus, at least, believes the head coach of the National Olympic Staff, Petru Bria. NOC President, Nicolae Juravschii did not agree with the coach.

The twive Olympic champion is frankly upset with the results of the team's leaders - the biathlete Natalia Levcencova and the skier Urs Imboden.

The best position won at this Olympics was the 28th place which belongs to the naturalized Swiss skier Christophe Roux. 4 years ago in Turin, the biathlete Natalia Levcencova finished the 8th. 

Petru Bria does not consider the trip to Vancouver as a touristic one and feels hurt when the journalists write about the frozen judges, who have been waiting at the finish line for our skiers and biathletes.

- If we consider the development of the winter sports in Moldova, our performance must be assessed as very good. And the results were improved, - says the head coach the Olympic Staff of Moldova, Petru Bria.

NOC President, Nicolae Juravschi has not agreed with the head coach.

- The athletes are not able to realize their potential and did not meet our expectations. But it is impossible to make out of it a tragedy. our leaders are not among the leaders of the World Cup Championship. Frankly speaking, I personally hoped that Imboden and Levchenkova would have been among top ten - said the president of the National Olympic Committee, Nicolae Juravschi.

Biathlon: Natalia Levcencova in Vancouver was not able to rise above the 37th position and the skier Urs Imboden fizzled out, breaking only 100 meters.

- Imboden was stopped by the thick fog - underlines the head coach Petru Bria.

For the training and participation of the Moldavian National Team, the Olympic Committee spent about 2 million lei.

- I personally do not have the moral right to punish someone and blame. Today we can not say that it was given more funding and that's what we have. We have no right to say that we are poor, we have enough snow, and we will no longer perform at the Olympics. But with little money and a simple desire we cannot get the result. It requires serious investment - sums up the president of the National Olympic Committee, Nicolae Juravschi.
