Stanislav Ivanov might get back on Moldova national team

Moldavian Lokomotiv Moskva midfielder Stanislav Ivanov might get back on the Moldova national team together with Sergiu Covalciuc and Sergiu Dadu.

We met the footballer completely by acccident at the Chişinău airport. He came to Moldova for his son's birthday after a training camp in Turkey. And on weekend he will go to a 2-week training camp in Spain with Lokomotiv.

Stanislav Ivanov thinks that the conflict between him, Dadu, Covalciuc and former Moldova team coach Igor Dobrobolsky was exaggerated and left a bad aftertaste wirh everybody. Gabi Balint might solve this problem. But for now, the players haven't been called up to the national team.

"National team members are selected by the coach. If the coach thinks that a footballer deserves to play for his team, he calls him up to the team. If he thinks he doesn't he doesn't do that. If they don't call me they probablydon't want me on the team. I can't exactly come to Moldova and say "Hey, take me on the team"."

But 30-year old Ivanov believes that current team coach Gabi Balint can reach the highest goals with the squad.

"I won the CIS Cup with Balint. The Moldova team has good prospects while he is training the team".

Ivanov does not rule out the possibility of returning to the team. The only condition is the desire of the mutual agreement of all parties and Ivanov's recorery from a recent injury.
