After Khazar has shamefully failed to reach the second qualifying round of Europa League on their own stadium, the head coach Aghasalim Mirjavadov announced his dismissal.
For the second time, Mirjavadov took over the squad from Lenkoran in June last year, when he replaced Igor Ponomarev. Khazar unsuccessfully completed the season, missing the chance to win both the title and the Cup.
Since the middle of the second half, the fans started to shout to Mirjavadov to give up on his job, and finally their wish was fulfilled. At the press conference, Mirjavadov announced his decision to leave the club. Having played a draw with Olimpia Bălți (1:1), Khazar ended its performance in UEFA Europa League.
