Igor Dobrovolski left Moldova on the 88th position in the FIFA rating

The International Football Federation has published a new rating of the national teams. The top three has not changed: still the football world is led by Brazil, Spain and the Netherlands. Moldova preserves its position as well.

Despite the loss of 19 points in the last month, our team remained on the 88th place.

Among our recent opponents in the 2010 World Cup qualification campaign above all settled the Swiss team. It has improved its position with two steps up, being now on the 13th place.

Greece squad has lost 4 positions being on the 16th position.

At the same 4 lines down went Israel - 26th place.

The greatest progress has proved Latvia, stepping up 11 ranks and making itself confortable on the 47th place.

The greatest setback in the rankings have undergone Luxembourg. After going down 17 positions, Luxembourg is now on the 133rd position. 

It is worth noting that the highest FIFA rank was held by Moldova half a years ago - in April 2008. Then, also coached by Igor Dobrovolschi, we stepped up on the incredible 37th position. By the way, today this place is taken by Norway, a row above are our neighbors, Romania.
