Tom Tomsk was saved by Putin

Tom Tomsk, the team which faces great financial problems, was offered 6,7 million euro from 7 huge energetic Russian companies. The charity act was done at the request of the prime-minister Vladimir Putin.

The squad, for which has played recently the Moldavian defender Valeriu Catânsus was almost excluded from the first League because of the debts owed to the authorities, players and the technical stuff. More than that, the Tom Tomsk footballers, and the coach Valeri Nepomniaşi declared that they are ready to leave the team because they were not given their salaries for months.

The team's officials wrote a letter to the President Dmitri Medvedev and the Prime-Minister Vladimir Putin, asking for their help. The leaders from Kremlin had a meeting with the president of the Federation, Vitali Mutko, and the representatives of the largest Russian energetic companies.

After the first 14 rounds of the inner competition, Tom Tomsk, a squad coming from a city with a population of 500.000 inhabitants, is on the 11^th position, with 16 points.
