The National Futsal Team was defeated by the European Champion

The National Futsal Team had a ruinous start in the European Championship, organised in the spanish city Badajoz.

In the first match the disciples of Valentin Galusca were crashed by Spain with 7-0.

Spania - Moldova 7:0 (3:0)

Scorers: Lin, 4 - 1:0, Alvaro, 5 - 2:0, Kike, 13 - 3:0, Kike, 29 - 4:0, Alvaro (penalty), 31 - 5:0, Borja, 36 - 6:0, Calvo Rodrigues, 39 - 7:0.

Moldova squad comprised the following members: Ruslan Istrati, Mihai Iavorschi, Vladimir Japalau, Valeriu Baeşu, Sergiu Şvet, Nicolae Neagu, Sergiu Tacot, Oleg Hiloti, Ian Iacovenco, Eugen Natcovschi, Constantin Burdujel, Vladimir Ghertle.

In the 5^th minute of the game, our players were already led with 0-2 after Lin and Alvaro managed to catch the frame of the posts. Kiek made it 3-0 in the 13^th minute of the game. In the first half our footballers did not even intended to grasp the enemies' posts. After their 5^th goal the spanish team played with the 5^th field player, without the goalkeeper. But it didn't help either, our boys could not score even the goal of honor. In the last minutes of the game the hosts scored other two goals.

In the other match Slovacia rolled over Kazakhstan with 6-4.
