Young judokas take part in Republican Games

Over 200 judokas from 24 regions of the country participated in the 4^th Republican Junior Games. The competitions which brought together both boys and girls were held at the State University of Physical Education and Sports. This tournament was held by the National Judo Federation to determine the level of physical training of young fighters.

Based on the results of these competitions, the winners will represent Moldova at the European Championship in Belgium which will be held in September 2011. Unfortunately, the young fighters will not have the opportunity to participate in the World Championship hosted by South Africa due to the lack of financing, the problem which is so typical for our country.

Due to the same problem, the winners will not get any prize money. Besides getting medals, they will be included in the national roster 2012 which is more important to them than monetary rewards.
