The Moldova national cadet team went to the World Judo Championship that will be held in Kiev from August 11 to 14, according to moldpres.md.
The national squad is composed of 18 athletes, including 12 men and 6 women.
All athletes have chances to win but most hopes are pinned on one athlete in particular - Iulian Peatcovschi (55 kg). Peatcovschi placed 5th at the European Youth Olympic Festival held in Turkey.
As for women, most hopes are pinned on Diana Caracas (48 kg) who also took 5th place at the European Youth Olympic Festival.
