Three Moldovan judokas were eliminated from the World championship held in Paris. Victor Scvorţov (73 kg) suffered a defeat to Davis Papaux (Switzerland) in the opening match, tumbling out of the competitions at their beginning. Papaux lost the following fight to Navruz Jurakobilov.
Marcel Trudov (73 kg) was also defeated by Andrea Regis of Italia and eliminated from the World Championship.
Valeriu Duminică was knocked out of the competitions by Antonio Ciano of Italy right after that.
Sergiu Toma (81 kg) showed the best performance. He managed to beat Yakhyo Imamov of Uzbekistan, and will play against Sirazhudin Magomedov of Russia in the next round.
The World Championship brought 949 athletes from 136 countries in Paris, with about 50-80 athletes competing in every event.
