Moldovan wrestlers claimed two silver and three bronze medals at an international tournament in Târgovişte, according to mts.gov.md.
The international wrestling tournament ‘Ion Corneanu' held from August 5 to 8 brought together 400 athletes from 26 countries.
Natalia Budu (51 kg) placed second while Elena Ţurcan won a bronze medal.
In the men's freestyle wrestling event, Dionis Balaur (84 kg) took second place while Andrei Podsevalnicov (120 kg) claimed a bronze medal.
Donior Islamov (55 kg) capture a bronze medal in the Greco-Roman wrestling event.
Mihai Cosnicean (66 kg, No. 5), Petru Sevciuc (74 kg, No. 5) and Anatolie Moldovan (120 kg, No. 5) also had a remarkable performance.
The tournament in Târgovişte was the last test before the World Wrestling Championship that will be held in Turkey in September.
Moldovan wrestlers need to make the top five at the Turkish competitions to secure Olympic quota places for the 2012 London Games.
