Moldovan wrestler Toma Vaşcan (58 kg) captured a bronze medal at the European Cadet Championship held in Warsaw.
Vaşcan beat Kirilos Vinenbaum (Greece) in the first fight, but lost the second fight to Dmitry Slobodyanyuk (Ukraine).
Toma Vaşcan defeated Gabriel Badea (Romania) in the consolation match and went on to beat Tobias Schröder (Germany) in the fight for third place, claiming a bronze medal.
Petru Şişcanu (42 kg) reached the quarterfinals, and suffered a defeat to Yaroslav Mazvin (Belarus) in the consolation match and to Rustam Karakhanov (russia) in the fight for third place.
Mihail Eşanu (50 kg) was defeated by Arkarius Kołodziej and tumbled out of the tournament.
These European competitions brought together 35 countries and were held from August 9 to 14.
