We bring you the interview of Moldova's best footballer of 2010, Moldova national team and Dinamo Moskva defender Alexandru Epureanu which he gave to kp.ru
- You are one of, if not the most, successful Moldavian players. You play for Dinamo Moskva's first team, score goals and have a good contract...
- I can't say that I am the best Moldavian footballer. My only advantage is that I play for a strong team. I have a four-year contract with Dinamo and one year has passed already. I scored two goals last season. Letting the players deliver set pieces is the principle of Miodrag Božović (Dinamo's head coach, - editor's note). Sometimes I succeeded. Božović is a good coach for me. I like his style of coaching.
- Do you have friends at Dinamo?
- I get along with everybody but I am friends mostly with the players from Moskva (the club ceased to exist, editor's note). I also have a good relation with Kevin Kurányi (German footballer, - editor's note). He doesn't know Russian, I don't know German so we sometimes talk to each other in English. Kevin is a very positive, good and sane person. He is a good footballer and man. He makes a great impression.
- Do you keep in touch with Moldavian footballers playing in Russia?
- Of course! Mostly by phone. I have a close connection with ‘Golova' (Victor Golovatenco, - author's note), Semion Bulgaru and Ilie Cebanu. Sometimies I have a word with Stas Ivanov or Sergiu Covalciuc when we play against each other.
- Would you like to become a coach after your playing days are over?
- I hope that I have a lot of time before even thinking about it. For now I need to make progress as a footballers and improve my performance.
