Ana Budescu wins bronze medal at worlds

Moldovan judo fighter Ana Budescu (40 kg) won a bronze medal at the World Cadet Judo championship held in Kiev.

Budescu beat a Mongolian athlete in the first fight but got defeated by Kamshat Karassaykuzu (Kazakhstan) in the second match.

Ana Budescu beat Flora Gennevel (France) in the consolation match and went on to defeat Marion Huber (Italy), claiming a bronze medal.  

The sister of the bronze-medal winner, Cristina Budescu (44 kg), claimed wins in the first two fights but then lost to Evi Vermandere (Belgium) and Hayley Willis (Great Britain), settling for 7^th place.
