LeBron James, superstarul Campionatului profesionist nord-american de baschet, un susținător declarat al lui Hillary Clinton, i-a îndemnat, miercuri, pe compatrioții săi, în special femei și minorități, să "nu-și piardă speranța" după alegerea lui Donald Trump în funcția de președinte al Statelor Unite, scrie realitatea.net.
"Nu vă pierdeți speranța, nici măcar un pic! Copiii sunt viitorul nostru și noi trebuie să rămânem mai puternici ca niciodată. Minorităților și femeilor, le spun că nu este sfârșitul. Este doar un obstacol foarte dificil peste care noi trebuie să trecem", a adăugat "King James".

Time to educate and even more mold my children into being the greatest model citizens they can become in life! They will continue the legacy beyond life! James, care i-a adus în luna iunie lui Cleveland Cavaliers primul titlu NBA din istorie, s-a angajat în timpul campaniei electorale alături de Clinton. El a participat duminica trecută, împreună cu un coechipier, J.R. Smith, la unul din ultimele mitinguri electorale, în Ohio, statul-cheie câștigat în final de Trump.
Smith a reacționat și el pe rețelele de socializare la alegerea lui Trump, publicând o fotografie a fiicei sale în fața Casei Albe, conform agerpres.
"Cum să-i explic ce s-a întâmplat? Poate sunteți o femeie care a făcut studii și nu poate avea un post pentru că sunteți femeie sau de culoare?", a precizat Smith.
La rândul său, antrenorul echipei Detroit Pistons, Stan Van Gundy, a precizat că "nu se poate nega faptul că acest individ [Trump] este rasist și misogin. Noi am aruncat o bună parte din populația noastră la lei. Li s-a spus că sunt considerați cetățeni de mâna a doua".
